Brutal Fruit Fashion talk - 2015 PFF

On the 6^th of November 2015, Fashion is taking over the city of Klerksdorp, at the NWSD Platinum Fashion Festival.

One of the highlights of the Fashion Festival will be the Brutal Fruit Fashion Talk at 16:00pm, with Gert Johan Coetzee as key speaker of the event.

 Gert-Johan Coetzee was born in Koster in South Africa’s North-West province in 1987. Fashion was in his blood since his earliest days; he was making dresses as early as eight years old. At 16 he left high school to enrol in the North West School of Design in Klerksdorp, North-West, to focus his attention on the business of fashion.

Fast forward a decade and Coetzee is one of South Africa’s most popular and successful designers, beloved by celebrities, and passionate about spreading the gospel of glamour. A proud champion for South African fashion, he runs a successful design business, creating opportunities for young aspirant designers with an annual bursary; and also dedicates every collection to a social cause, using the power of his fashion platform to raise awareness for issues dear to his heart. His high-voltage red-carpet gowns have earned him acclaim locally and internationally, but his business also extends to a successful ready-to-wear line.

 Forming part of the programme, The Brutal Fruit Fashion Talk themed “ My top 5 big fashion ideas “ Coetzee will elaborate on the business of fashion and his experience in the fashion industry. This event will be open to the public, the fashion-curious, and the non-fashion educated. Although this jubilant event is free, all interested must registrar on www.platinumfashionfestival.co.za and ask their fashion question. 

 Also featuring during the Brutal Fruit Fashion Talk will be Guest Speakers SA Power Couple Emile and Razia Samson.

They will be taking part in a Q&A session answering Guests questions

  Emile is a Visual Merchandiser at one of South Africa's largest retailers and has had the chance to experience many spheres of the retail industry from sales floor work to boutique ownership, Brand management as well as operationally taking care of scores of stores from a visual perspective. Razia is currently a Human Resource Recruiter for the fashion industry with over 20 years experience in the fashion industry modelling, fashion retail and recruitment, the couple will elaborate on recruitment and a one on one Q&A with the public.

Since the vivacious Gert Johan Coetzee also plays the role of moderator at the Platinum Fashion Festival, his immaculate talk is sure to be enlightening and insightful.  Be sure to secure your spot at this exquisite event where fashion will appear most unyielding.
