Klerksdorp is getting ready for the first annual Fashion Drive, a collaboration event hosted by celebrated names to benefit a local school. The team that comprises of North West School of Design, Mercedes Benz, Gert Johan Coetzee, Sanlam and Janie Schneider has put together an event that involves many local firms and individuals pulling together their resources to ensure profitability leads to sustainable fundraising for Janie Schneider school for disabled children.

This exciting community event will be held at Cargo Motors, Mercedes Benz, Klerksdorp on Saturday, 25 May 2013 at 14:00. The price of this sit down afternoon tea fashion show is R150.00 per ticket, which includes light snacks, beverages as well as a gift bag.
International designer and NWSD graduate Gert Johan Coetzee will be the guest speaker at the event and will showcase designs worn by celebrities. North West School of Design’s third year Fashion Design student, Maxine McLuckie, will be hosting a vintage fashion show as her third year project.
“I am in awe and so grateful for local business who have come aboard with sponsorship and assistance for such a great cause. Every aspect of the event from venue, tables, marketing, music, hosting, and emcee to gift bag content have been sponsored. The list is just too long to mention, but we will be posting details in the media and thank you’s on our Facebook wall.” Says Marlene Oosthuizen, principal of North West School of Design.
