Bridal Challenge 2016
Third year students had to design and make a dress in 4 Days.
They had to do freestanding draping since patterns where not allowed to be drawn up.
The theme was Floral Opulence and they had to make flowers to appliqué on the dress.
This is a very challenging experience where students get to know themselves better as designers, see their weaknesses and strengths as well as the importance of time management. After the 4 Days there is a judging that takes place where students have to explain their concept and reason of their chosen designs.
Chantelle Labuschagne won first place.
Emmah Mmulutsi was the runner up winner at second place.
Tsholofelo Moribe got third place.
Here are a view at the rest of the garments that where showcased.
