FASHION COMPETITION

Categories

1. Non-qualified designers with no professional training
2. Non-qualified designers still in training
3. Qualified / non-qualified designers with an established business

Rules

1. Competition only open to the Free State, North West and Vaal Triangle areas.
2. Deadline of entry form and sketches/Photos of proposed garments (including accessories) - NO GARMENTS: 12 July 2013 (to be handed in at Riverside Sun Resort)

3. Finalists must label and hand in garments at Riverside Sun Resorts (Wenning str SW5) on 26 July 2013 between 14h00 - 16h00.

4. Finalists in each category must be available to fit models on 13 July 2013 at Riverside Sun Resort at 10h00

5. Project: To design and make one or two evening garments to portray the theme "French Funk Revolution" - Wearable Art

6. Standard size 10 (34) female garment (88 cm bust; 66cm waist & 93 cm hip) to be designed and completed except for the hem length (if applicable).

7. Garments and accessories will be modelled at the VAAL DESIGNER OF THE YEAR 2013 event on 27 July 2013.

8. Judging Criteria: Visual Impact & Design Integrity; Interpretation of the brief; Fit, Finish and Quality of the Garment.

9. The organizers will not take responsibility for any lost item(s) or damaged item(s) during the show.

10. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
