Digital Advertising Fashion Show

One might ask what a digital advertising fashion show is? Well For the last 15 years, NWSD fashion students have showcased their traditional Advertising Fashion shows in Malls and Shopping Centres showcasing Avant Garde looks created by students who designed, made and modelled fantasy garments using branding and packaging material of the participating tenants in these Malls.

But come 2014 and Principal Marlene Oosthuizen decided to spice things up a little and to showcase these designs to a larger audience – a digital audience.
And so the Digital Advertising was born and ever since students showcased their designs digitally to a global platform.

Avant garde? Sounds like an ingredient one puts into biscuits. Avant-garde are people or works that are experimental, radical, or unorthodox, with respect to art, culture, and society.
The digital Advertising Fashion Show has shown tremendous success in terms of advertising local brands through fashion.
